About the convention
Nigeria's broadcasters, platforms and regulators, in Abuja.
2027 theme
Sustainable broadcasting in a diverse content economy: reaching and serving new audiences
Nigeria has one of the largest and most crowded broadcast markets on the continent, with more than 740 licensed broadcast stations and new licences still being approved. But more stations does not mean more viewers and listeners for each of them. Nigerian audiences are young, mobile and spread across many screens, and many stations can no longer say with confidence who is watching or listening, where, or for how long.
The Broadcasters Convention - Nigeria 2027 brings together federal and state broadcasters, private stations, regulators, advertisers, audience measurement firms, content producers and technology partners in Abuja to share what is working and agree what each of them needs to do to win, and keep, the next audience. Speakers will share real numbers and real lessons on what keeps a station on air and growing.
